I chose this hotel for attending a seminar in Kyoto and it provided a comfortable and convenient stay. The staff was courteous, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful garden, which provided a pleasant and relaxing environment.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center. It would have been helpful to have access to a printer and other office equipment, especially for last-minute document preparation.

The Ryokan Yamazaki was super clean and had a serene location with a pretty garden. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they provided great local insights. The onsen in the small bathtub at night was a unique and relaxing experience.
Strongly recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth experience. The room was clean and the amenities provided were sufficient for my needs. The location was also ideal, offering a peaceful environment away from the city center.
The only service I missed for my work was a dedicated workspace in the room. It would have been helpful to have a small desk or table where I could set up my laptop and work comfortably during my stay.

The Japanese-style breakfast at Ryokan Yamazaki was absolutely amazing! We also loved the beautiful garden grounds of the annex building. The location was a bit out of the way, but it allowed for peaceful walks and a chance to take in the surroundings. I highly recommend this hotel for an authentic Japanese experience.

The location was great, close to several important shrines and fantastic temples. The Japanese garden was lovely and staff was happy to help with nearly everything. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was well-maintained. Breakfast was delicious and served promptly.
One unfortunate aspect was the lack of response from the staff regarding a refund issue.

The place is so quiet and peaceful, that during the night only the sound of the river and the crickets I could hear. True bless for the mind. Even if one night I have arrived late and the restaurant was closed, they did an amazing sushi and miso soup for me. The staff was all the time very friendly, kind and helpful. They did all to make me feel like at home. And I did! :) Thank you so much!

I recently had a delightful stay at a charming hotel located in a tranquil garden setting. The hotel offers excellent value for money, making it a great option for budget-conscious travelers. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of a private bathroom and a beautiful view of the garden. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing exceptional service throughout my stay. Additionally, the breakfast served at the hotel was delicious and satisfying.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were more than satisfactory.

Very friendly staff, quiet place. Nice campus.
A bit of a commute from central Kyoto. Wi-fi was a little shaky but they did have a free-use, wired computer. A bit musty smelling (in the humid summer months).

This is a really nice ryokan. I enjoyed my stay a lot and can highly recommend it! The hotel staff is very very friendly.
It is a fairly long way from the city. Not a huge problem though thanks to good bus connection.

We loved staying in this hotel on the edge of a wooded area, surrounded by the beautiful garden. The location is perfect, as we were able to easily visit several tourist attractions nearby. In terms of transportation, the hotel is conveniently close to a bus stop, making it easy to get around. The staff were friendly and accommodating, speaking English well. We also found that the hotel was very clean and well-maintained.
Nothing to fault.

Everything was perfect and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay near Kyoto. The staff was really friendly and comprehensive. A+
The only bad thing about it, is if you don't want to ride by bus, it's 40 minutes by walk from the nearest train station.

Lovely traditional inn with beautiful gardens and delicious Japanese breakfast. The guest kitchen is a plus if you're on a budget and want to cook your own dinner. , the mountainous area is great for nature lovers and offers amazing views of temples and the scenery.
The inn is located far away from the city and public transportation options are very limited, so getting there can be quite an inconvenience. , the rooms are poorly insulated and light and noise can easily disturb your sleep.
